Vasile Pușcaș


Vasile Pușcaș, PhD, was appointed for another term as an Independent Non-Executive Director on Banca Transilvania Board of Directors. His roles also include:
- Chairman of the Remuneration Committee
Mr. Pușcaș boasts a career spanning over four decades as a professor at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and has extensive experience as a diplomat and consultant in Romania, Italy and the United States.
He successfully conducted negotiations on Romania's Most Favored Nation Clause (1993), thus putting into effect the Romanian-American Trade Agreement post-1989. As Romania's Chief Negotiator with the European Union, Mr. Puscas was instrumental in facilitating Romania's ascension to the EU.
He pioneered the Romanian higher education, establishing the International Relations and European Integration courses in 1990. His scholarly contributions include authoring and co-authoring more than 100 books and over 250 articles.
